1. About Richters Market

Richters Market operates an online, multi-vendor digital market. Independent vendors list products on our platform, while Richters Market facilitates ordering, payment processing, warehousing, fulfillment, and delivery to customers.

Richters Market is not the producer or manufacturer of most products sold through the platform unless expressly stated.

 

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Services.

To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
• Promptly update account information as needed

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

 

3. Services, Orders, and Subscriptions

a) Products and Availability

Product availability, pricing, and descriptions are subject to change without notice. Due to the nature of agricultural and artisanal goods, availability may vary.

b) Subscriptions

Subscription services renew automatically at the frequency disclosed at checkout unless cancelled in accordance with the cancellation terms provided at the time of purchase.

c) Orders and Acceptance

All orders are subject to acceptance by Richters Market. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including due to product unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraud.

d) Delivery

Delivery timelines are estimates only and not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to weather, supply chain disruptions, or other factors beyond our reasonable control.

 

4. Pricing, Payments, and Taxes

All prices are displayed in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated and are subject to applicable taxes.

Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. Richters Market does not store full credit card numbers.

You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for all applicable fees, subscriptions, taxes, and delivery charges.

 

5. Cancellations, Refunds, and Returns

Cancellation, refund, and return policies vary depending on the product type, vendor, and whether the purchase is a subscription or one-time order.

Due to the perishable nature of many products, refunds or replacements may be limited. Any issues must be reported within the timeframe specified in our customer service policies.

 

6. Vendor Relationships

Vendors selling through Richters Market are independent businesses. While we impose contractual standards regarding quality, fulfillment, and data protection, Richters Market does not control vendors’ internal operations.

Richters Market is not responsible for vendor compliance with laws unrelated to the Services or for representations made by vendors beyond what is expressly authorized.

 

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes
• Interfere with the security or operation of the platform
• Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
• Upload or transmit harmful code or content

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Richters Market for the applicable order or subscription giving rise to the claim.

14. Termination

Termination does not affect obligations incurred prior to termination.

 

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in that province.
