Shipping & Delivery Policy

Richter’s Market Co. (RMCo)

Delivery Area

Richter’s Market Co. currently offers local delivery within designated service areas. Delivery eligibility is determined by postal code at checkout.

If an address falls outside our delivery zone, customers will be offered available pickup options instead.

Delivery Timing

Our goal is to provide next-day local delivery whenever possible.

Delivery timing may vary based on order volume, vendor availability, seasonality, weather, or operational considerations. While next-day delivery is our standard target, occasional delays may occur. Customers will be notified if delivery timing is affected.

Delivery Fees

  • Members: Free local delivery using RMCo reusable delivery boxes.
  • Non-Members: A flat $6.99 delivery and packaging fee applies per order.
    This fee helps cover single-use packaging, local delivery, and handling costs.

All delivery fees are clearly displayed at checkout.

Packaging

  • Members receive orders in RMCo’s purpose-built reusable delivery boxes. Depending on order requirements other packaging methods may be used however have no additional charges. 
  • Non-member orders are packaged using single-use cardboard packaging.

Packaging methods are selected to protect product quality and ensure safe delivery.

 

Reusable Delivery Box – Member Responsibility

Members receive orders in RMCo’s purpose-built reusable delivery boxes. To support sustainability and operational efficiency, members are expected to place their empty delivery box out for pickup at the time of their next scheduled delivery.

If a reusable delivery box is not made available for pickup, a $50.00 temporary box deposit fee will be charged to the member’s account. This fee is fully refundable once the delivery box is returned to RMCo in acceptable condition.

RMCo may coordinate box return pickup or accept returns at the RMCo warehouse during business hours.

 

Order Processing

Orders are processed once payment has been successfully completed.

Some products, including fresh and seasonal items, are subject to availability based on vendor supply. If an item becomes unavailable after an order is placed, RMCo will contact the customer to arrange a substitution, refund, or store credit.

Delivery Instructions & Access

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information and any special instructions at checkout.

RMCo is not responsible for delivery delays or failed deliveries resulting from:

  • Incorrect or incomplete addresses
  • Inaccessible or unsafe delivery locations
  • Severe weather or unforeseen circumstances

Missed or Failed Deliveries

If a delivery cannot be completed due to customer error or inaccessibility, RMCo may:

  • Return the order to the warehouse for pickup, or
  • Reschedule delivery (additional fees may apply)

Order Tracking

Live delivery tracking is not currently available. Customers will receive confirmation once their order has been processed and scheduled for delivery.

 

 

Seasonal & Vendor-Based Availability

As RMCo partners with local farmers and makers, product availability and delivery timing may vary based on harvest schedules, production capacity, and seasonal conditions.

These factors help ensure freshness, quality, and support for local producers.
